The Atlas of North and South America is a braille and tactile atlas designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The atlas is divided into three units in four volumes with an emphasis on geography. The maps show boundaries, mountains, rivers and bodies of waters, elevation, major cities only, climate, land use and resources, each of which has a braille label. Each unit is self-contained and can be used alone. Unit 1, Northern North America, covers Canada and the United States and has one volume that contains 59 pages. Unit 2, The United States, has two volumes which contain 124 pages and divide the U.S. into six regions with a maps of each region. Unit 3, Middle and South America, has one volume which contains 51 pages.
