The i-LIMB Pulse is a myoelectric prosthetic hand designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities and hand amputees. The i-LIMB Pulse features five articulating digits that closely reflect the grasping action of a human hand. It includes BioSim, a software toolset for clinical practitioners that features a selection of various control strategies such as dual- and single-site electrode options and real-time assessment of the user's myoelectric impulses. BioSim also enables and disables of grip patterns, gestures and other features, including pulsing grip strength. It connects to the i-LIMB Pulse using a Bluetooth connection. Several cover options are available for the i-Limb Pulse including a variety of flesh tones and a semi-transparent cover. The i-LIMB Pulse is compatible with several models of powered arms and input devices and with the Otto Bock Electric Wrist Rotator (see separate entry). SIZES: Regular and small. Each size is available with or without wrist disarticulation. DIMENSIONS (LxW): x 182 x 80 millimeters (mm) (regular): 180 x 75 mm (small). Thumb length is 120 mm (regular) or 118 mm (small). POWER: Uses rechargeable 7.4 volt lithium polymer battery with 2400 to 1300 mAh capacity. CAPACITY: 90 kilograms (kg) hand load; 32 kg finger carry load. WEIGHT: 460 to 465 grams.
