The LifeSOS Personal Emergency Response System is an emergency alert system designed for use by seniors or individuals with balance, mobility, or neurological disabilities or who are at risk for medical emergencies. The system includes a base unit that connects to an existing telephone line and a remote transmitter that is worn by the user. In case of emergency, depressing a button on the transmitter activates the base unit, which then plays back an emergency message and automatically dials a family member, neighbor, friend, or hospital to deliver the message. The unit also provides two-way voice communication. The remote transmitter includes a vibration sensor, and an inactivity alarm signal is sent if it has been still for more than 12 hours. The transmitter is waterproof and can be worn around the neck or on the wrist. The system can also be connected to an activity sensor. If the sensor detects no activity in a programmed period of time, the system will automatically call for help. POWER: Uses household current or rechargeable back-up battery (included).
