The Helping Hand Tray is a carrying accessory that can be used with a walker, wheelchair, or armchair. Hot or cold foods can be transported on the tray, which is dishwasher safe and can be sanitized. The tray will attach to walkers with 18-inch crossbars by means of clips, so persons with limited hand dexterity are able to attach or detach the unit. The tray slides forward on the walker to permit walking in a correct and safe position, then can be pulled back for use in a sitting position. The tray can be stored in a vertical position on the side of the walker. An adapter ($13.75) will permit use of the tray on open arm chairs and wheelchairs (see separate entry). REPLACEMENT PARTS: Vinyl tray insert ($3), 2 wide velcro strips ($2.50), and 2 padded arm protectors ($1.50). CAPACITY: 10 pounds.
