The Office on Aging and Independence promotes a full and dignified life for older people in Howard County, encouraging their involvement in all aspects of life and recognizing them as a vital force in the community. Some services offered are Information and Assistance (MAP, Caregiver Support Program, Alzheimer’s Support, Assisted Living Facility Subsidy, Health and Wellness Programs, 50+ Centers, Aging in Place Programs, State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)/Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), and Seniors Together.
