Address mental health issues
Daily Herald - 12/24/2016
Whether it's suicide, depression or prescription abuse, Utahns have struggled more so than the rest of the national with mental health issues.
The great thing is more is now being done about it. Schools are employing Hope Squads, and organizations like United Way are joining in on the fight.
2017 is the time for the stigma to fall by the wayside as Utahns treat mental illness as openly and fully as other physical illnesses.
According to Utah'sDivision of Substance Abuse & Mental Health, two-thirds of people with a known mental disorder do not seek help from a professional.
If you're struggling with something, or know someone who is, take the leap this year and talk to someone about getting help.
